Anastasia Volochkova was born in St Petersburg in 1976. In 1986 she entered the Vaganova Academy (class of Natalia Dudinskaya). From 1994 to 1998 she danced in the ballet company of the Mariinsky Theatre, where she was taken on immediately after her graduating from the Academy. In 1998 she joined the Bolshoi Ballet, coached by Ekaterina Maximova.

Repertoire includes:
Odette-Odile (Swan Lake), Nikia (La Bayadere), Giselle (Giselle), Aurora (The Sleeping Beauty), Kitri (Don Quixote), Medora (Le Corsaire), Raymonda (Raymonda), Clara (Nutcracker), Sheherezade (Sheherezade), Soloist (Paquita), Zarema (The Fountain of Bakhchisarai).

Awards:
Gold Medal at the Second International Ballet Competition in Kiev, 1996.
Honored Artist of Russia, 2002
