Beatrice Knop was born in Berlin, Germany. She trained at the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin and joined the Ballett der Staatsoper Unter den Linden in 1991. She became soloist in 1993. The season 1995/96 she worked as soloist in Aalto Ballett Essen. She came back to Berlin in 1966 and since 1998 she is a principal dancer with the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin (now Staatsballet Berlin).
