Amy Watson was born in 1981. She was engaged by Suzanne Farrell's Company before she became a dancer of the Royal Danish Ballet, where she was appointed soloist in 2003.

Amy Watson has danced Odette/Odile in Swan Lake, Irma in Abdallah, and a number of soloist roles including Betsy in Anna Karenina, Maitresse in Manon, Olga in Onegin, Helena in Romeo and Juliet, and in Napoli, Symphony in C, Serenade, The Concert, Hallelujah Junction, Ballads Enclosed, Sleeping Beauty, Vers un Pays Sage and A Folktale.
