Alina Somova was born St Petersburg. She graduated from the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet in 2003. Joined the Mariinsky Theatre in 2003.
Repertoire includes: La Sylphide (Sylphide), Giselle (Monna), The Sleeping Beauty (Fee Candide), Swan Lake (Odette-Odile), Le Corsaire (Medora) and Etudes.
