Antoinette Sibley was born in Bromley, Kent, England, in 1939. She joined the Royal Ballet in 1956 and became soloist in 1960. She danced all great
ballerina roles and created title roles in The Dream, Enigma Variations and Manon.
Her beautiful partnership with Anthony Dowell became legendary. Dame Antoinette became the President of The Royal Academy of Dance in 1991.
