Nina Semizorova was born in Ukraine in 1956. She graduated from the Kiev Ballet School. Joined the Bolshoi Ballet in 1978.
Her virtuoso technique is combined with inner discipline and emotional reserve. Her elongated
bodyline and fluidity of movement contribute to the impressive effect of her dancing.
Repertoire includes:
Odette/Odile (Swan Lake), Giselle, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Kitri (Don Quixote), Raymonda,
Mistress of the Copper Mountain (The Stone Flower), Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Aegina and Phrygia (Spartacus),
Luska (The Golden Age).
Awards:
1st Prize and Gold Medal at the 3rd International Ballet Competition in Moscow.
People's Artist of the USSR.
