Nelli Kobakhidze was born in Tblisi, Georgia. From 1992-95 she studied at the Tbilisi Choreographic School and then moved to the Moscow Academic Choreography School. She graduated in 2001 and joined the Bolshoi Ballet where she now rehearses with Marina Kondratieva.
She has appeared in Cinderella (Winter),The Bolt (Manka Fart(=Lucky One)), Don Quixote (Queen of Dryads), La Bayadere (Three shades), Swan Lake (Hungarian bride and Three Swans), The Golden Age, The Nutcracker, Concerto Barocco, Raymonda, Sleeping Beauty, Symphony in C, Midsummer Night's Dream, Queen of Spades, La Tricorne.
