Maria Bylova was born in 1956. She joined the Bolshoi Ballet in 1974. Performing leading and solo parts in both classical and modern ballets. She has beautiful body lines and great sense of musicality.

Her repertoire includes:
Myrtha (Giselle), Mistress of the Dryads (Don Quixote), Princess Florine (Sleeping Beauty), Mistress of the Copper Mountain (The Stone Flower), Luska (The Golden Age), Clemence (Raymonda), Odette-Odile (Swan Lake), Aegina (Spartacus), Mekhmene-Banu (The Legend of Love).

Awards:
Honoured Artist of the USSR.
