Elena Andrienko was born in Kiev in 1972. After graduation from the Moscow Academic Choreography School (class of Sofia Golovkina) she was admitted to the ballet company of the Bolshoi Theatre in 1991. Her first teacher-repetiteur in the company was Marina Semyonova, and now it is Ludmila Semenyaka.

Repertoire includes:
Odalisque in Le Corsaire, Rita in Golden Age, Myrtha in Giselle, the Sylph and Effie in La Sylphide, Gamzatti in La Bayadere, Kitri in Don Quixote, Princess Florine in Sleeping Beauty, Marie in The Nutcracker, Ramze in Pharao's Daughter, Odette-Odile in Swan Lake, the Ballerina in The Bright Stream and Clemence in Raymonda.
